What counts as misconduct

Plagiarism, fabrication of data or sources, falsification, collusion and submitting work written by someone — or something — else as your own are all misconduct.

A similarity percentage is not a verdict. Properly quoted and cited text also matches. What matters is whether every borrowed word and idea is attributed.

Example

Copying a paragraph and changing a few words without citation is plagiarism, even if a similarity checker does not flag it.

Open the Quality Center and review any “integrity” signals for your project.
